About Flying Dragons PV Club
Our History
Founded in 1997 by Mike Cockerham. Flying Dragons Pole Vault Club has been providing top-quality pole vault training to the community for over 25 years.
What started out as a Christmas present to a vaulter in 1997 for private lessons has turned into a pole vaulting club that draws athletes from around that state of IL and beyond to train.
If you are a vaulter that is looking to pursue pole vault in college Flying Dragons Pole Vault Club has helped athletes obtain $13 Million plus in scholarships. Less than 5% of athletes that train at Flying Dragons don't move on to pole vault in college, but not because they didn't have the opportunity.
Membership
We offer flexible membership options to fit your individual/family needs.
- Gold - commits to 12 months per year, extra practice time, pole usage for meets
- Silver - commit to 1-11 months, you pay for the months you attend
- Bronze - Daily, pay per days you attend.

Practice
We offer training for all age groups.
Training days: Tuesday and Thursday (4:00 pm- 7:00 pm) and Sunday Open Gym (9:00 am-2:00pm).
- Junior High and younger athletes choose one of 2 sessions 4:00 to 5:30pm or 5:30pm to 7:00pm. High School and up train from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
- On Sunday open gym hours for all ages from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
